SOLA is a story that delves into the complexities of the immigrant experience, shedding light on the profound sense of isolation that often accompanies it.

The film follows the journey of a young immigrant girl who finds herself in a new and unfamiliar land, where she grapples with the challenge of navigating an unknown world.

SOLA

Our protagonist, who recently arrived with her mother and brother, finds herself in a city where the language spoken is unfamiliar to her. Despite this barrier, she bravely ventures out to explore her new neighborhood, unafraid and curious to get to know this unfamiliar city.

Mamá

As many single moms and immigrant parents, she works tirelessly for her kids to have a better life and access to better opportunities. Even as she juggles all of this she finds time to enjoy the little things like cooking her favorite dishes and dancing to a cumbia on the radio.

The basketball gang

Our protagonist encounters a group of local kids playing basketball in the park on a sunny afternoon. As she quietly watched them, a curious young boy from the group approaches her with a proposition.
